Alison Derham
Chief Experience Officer
The Role
Alison is responsible for creating programming and experiences that make the seemingly intangible—our firm’s mission, purpose, and values—come to life for the benefit of our advisors and staff. As such, she oversees everything that touches recognition and culture, and leads a white-glove onboarding process for experienced advisors and practice groups.
The Story
Recruited to the financial industry right out of college, Alison spent her early years pouring herself into building processes and curricula that, by all accounts, made her successful in her role. But it wasn’t until her own husband became an advisor that the lights really turned on. Being directly connected to the challenges he faced every day helped Alison reorient her approach to something even deeper and more meaningful—both for herself and Charter Oak’s advisors.
Today, Alison is a blend of coach, teacher, and nurturer, allowing her to lead advisors through major practice transitions with equal parts confidence and caring. Her eye for meaningful details allows her to deliver a highly personal and supportive experience that emphasizes a sense of shared purpose and success.
Outside of Charter Oak, Alison enjoys cooking, traveling, and attempting to golf. She hopes to one day play better than her husband of eight years.
