About Me

The will to excel has been my driving force for as long as I can remember. As a football player in my youth, I learned well the lessons of discipline and determination; of teamwork and collaboration; of setting goals and achieving them; and of contributing to a larger community. In my work with my clients planning for the events that will occur in their lives, I use my knowledge and experience, and the skills that I honed as an athlete to guide them toward financial security – helping to build, protect, and preserve their wealth.

My career as a financial professional was inspired largely by my father, Bill Kauffman, who was a life insurance agent for 52 years. Throughout my childhood, I saw first-hand how my father made a successful career out of helping people protect their families and businesses with insurance. While I knew I wanted a career in sales, the values I learned from my father, along with courses I took in college taught me the power and versatility of life insurance, convinced me that this was the right career. Now, after 30 years in the financial services industry, I have become well-known in the community as a trusted financial professional and a family friend to my clients.

In keeping with my commitment to volunteerism and community involvement, I have been a member of the Walter Camp Football Foundation since 1995 and was the Foundation’s president from 2015-2017. In 2019, I became co-owner of a restaurant in Branford, CT called The Stand Branford. I also volunteered for the Connecticut chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation as a Wish Granter, meeting eligible children and granting wishes.

A Connecticut native, I currently reside in North Haven, CT. I am the proud father of two children and love to travel in my free time.
