About
Charter Oak
OUR HISTORY
Building authentic
relationships since 1886.
Being both a throwback and an innovator wasn’t part of some big strategic plan. It’s something that’s always been part of us.
It all began in a one-room office out of Western Massachusetts: a handful of agents doing business on a handshake to help their neighbors protect the ones they love.
Today’s Charter Oak is an industry powerhouse with a national footprint, but we haven’t gotten here through innovation alone. We believe our growth was made possible by realizing that connecting to our past—to the days when people looked out for one another—is just as important as breaking the mold.
LEADERSHIP WITH IMPACT
The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
Charter Oak’s leadership team is a collection of unique abilities and backgrounds joining forces to shape our culture and guide our growth. Above all, we are stewards of our guiding principles—work/life harmony, advisor-obsession, genuine authenticity, enthusiastic ownership, and a belief that we’re better together—as we support our advisors and their clients.
